It would be easy to find this column saccharine. But if only for today I choose to read it as it is meant to be, a story of amazing selflessness and generosity.

The columnist gets in the way of introducing us to a truly inspiring person by spending too much time talking about herself. However, the idea of returning to follow up a previous story to introduce readers to a person of such generosity of spirit, shares important knowledge with readers-- that while most newspaper stories tell us of cruel and manipulative, often selfish acts, there are in fact, much too unheralded, people of extraordinary generosity among us.

I think this story is wonderful! It may not be about a specific event that is happening right now, but it is about something that we all need to take into consideration, especially during the holiday season. I was very inspired by this article and it was written in a very cohesive way that made you want to read on and feel more of the raw emotion expressed in the simple words of the article. I think that sometimes these kinds of stories are what the news lacks, stories about the bigger picture and not just about current events and facts.

It is a story from the heart. Well written and heart clutching. A story that will keep the interest of the reader.
