Posted by Derek HawkinsI call this story disingenuous. A relatively recent college graduate myself, I feel like this story could have been written a year ago and said essentially the same thing -- that there are large pockets of college grads who start off in jobs that have nothing to do with what they study, economy be damned. The anecdotes here are nothing new. A lot of us work at restaurants or do TFA, Americorps and other volunteer programs. Is it possible the greater problem is that colleges aren't providing practical training?
