While much more explanation is needed, the author does a fine job of alerting the audience to the story at hand, while seeking people who have been directly affected by the closures.

There seems to be something "hush hush" going on here. I'm excited to see the detailed reasoning behind the closures. I'm happy that more mainstream medias are covering issues in the gay community, but the community is also entitled to their own publications covering their community.

This article provides information about one of the biggest and most controversial topics in the United States today: Gay Rights. Although this article provides quotes and a great punch line, I would have like to have seen more of where the gay community goes from here. Because of the economy most newspapers have either been shutdown or transferred, but in this case the Gay Community lost a very important voice, their own.
