Base education reform on realistic solutions

Arizona's public education system needs some reforms. This isn't a radical idea, but a near-consensus. Proposed reforms need to be based on an accurate understanding of how the current system works. They need to contain realistic solutions, not slogans.

The writer advocates for a cooperative approach to reforming Arizona's schools in the face of a campaign against school administration by a political action committee. The piece would be more persuasive if any additional statistics supporting his argument were included.
