Interesting report about President Obama's plans to change the bank-based lending system for student loans, which was just approved by the Senate. However, this article doesn't explain very well what these changes are, and how it would affect students. Only at the end do we get a hint that the president's proposal could 'end guaranteed lending and use the savings to make Pell Grants an entitlement.' Otherwise well-researched and fairly presented.
