The idea of selecting one promise kept and one broken to close out PolitiFact's series on Obama's first 100 days was a good one. It adds a layer of value to the coverage to make an editorial call on top of the extensive body of fact checking. See links for more.

Interesting article from PolitiFact, whose staff researched 514 campaign promises made by the Obama campaign. In this piece, they highlight one significant promise that was kept (invest in all types of alternative energy) -- and one that was broken (toughen rules against former lobbyists). While their decision of which promises to feature can be viewed as subjective, the methodology which they used to fact-check each promise is not -- their observations are objective, factual, well-sourced and insightful.

This is great in that no one ever goes back to campaign promises. Well done.

Yes, it stated the facts clearly then proceded to give clear explaintion of why the action was good or bad.
