Fascinating report on how the press covered President Obama's first few months in office, compared to Bush and Clinton, from the acclaimed Project for Excellence in Journalism. The authors used a reasonable methodology to analyze the tone of media coverage from 49 mainstream and independent news outlet, studying thousands of stories in the process. The results suggest that Obama has enjoyed much more favorable coverage than either Bush or Clinton.

Eye-opening research, which provides an insightful perspective on people's attitudes towards our new U.S. President. I'm encouraged that 42% of Obama's news coverage was found positive, versus 22% for Bush. Seems about right, in light of their respective accomplishments.

The article was very thorough and did not seem biased. It was visually dynamic with graphs and variation between paragraphs and bullet points making it easier to understand.
