Afghan Journal | The camera guy, and some thoughts upon leaving

As I leave Afghanistan, I keep thinking back to the camera man.

Sometimes I have been discouraged by what I have seen here, and, on some occasions, I've been overwhelmed.

The Seattle Times reporter on assignment in Afghanistan shows journalistic efforts by the paper to report international news using their own reporters. The stories are much more personal than government or military press releases.
