The story has an intriguing opener that makes the reader want to know more..

This is a very interesting and strange complication of the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.

“According to Sac and Fox tradition, Dad’s soul will never be at peace until his body is laid to rest, after an appropriate ceremony, back here in his home,” said Jack Thorpe, the youngest son. “Until then, his soul is doomed to wander. We must have him back.”

I honestly think this is a bunch of baloney. Many tribes share a belief in an afterlife. I have never heard an Indian ghost story that was actually perpetuated by Indians.
