One part journalism, three parts partisan drivel. Add a dash of misconstrued facts, and... voila! You get a flaming pile of stinky propaganda.

Despite the far right's attempts to hijack the tea party concept, the fact is that the majority of attendees were protesting federal mismanagement and overspending in general, not specifically that of the Obama Admin. The rhetoric in southern states was also decidedly further right than that of the northeast and west. By focusing on the far right aspects of the protests, the author attempts to negate the efforts of the Independent-voting, grassroots surge that created and forwarded the concept.
