Senator Specter is a Republican who occasionally shows some responsible ethics and common sense, despite abandoning labor on the EFCA. While the article is a bit self-serving, it provides some collected inside history. His argument for a roll-back is worthy, though it would have been more credible if put forth during the Bush campaign and before McCain was defeated. And none of this matters unless the law is enforced; we need broader standing for who can initiate criminal charges and civil suits.

I like congressional mandates for supreme court reviews. Telecoms should be liable, not the government. Signing statements contrary to legislation should be nullified.
