Netanyahu's Deal: Bushehr for Settlements

It hasn't taken Benjamin Netanyahu long to show his true colors by creating new hoops for the Palestinians to jump through in order to resume peace negotiations with Israel. The Israeli Prime Minister has reportedly told U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East, George Mitchell, that the Palestinians must recognize Israel as a "Jewish state" before it will discuss establishing an independent Palestinian state. Quick, hard-hitting summation of the astoundingly stubbor and foolish position Netanyahu is taking regarding Iran and Palestine. Netanyahu sees the Iranian "threat" as moe important than the demographic timebomb of Palestinian birthrates in undivided Israel/Palestine.

Obama is quite right to push forward with the Saudi peace plan which is the only viable solution to a problem that otherwise will bring Israel's long-term stability seriously into question.

Full of opinion instead of fact. This is an editorial, not a news story, and there is a big difference!

The Israeli Prime Minister would be a fool NOT to insist on Jewish State recognition with organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah in charge in the areas that Israel took after being attacked by the Arab states. These people have been pressing for the annihilation of Israel since 1948 and only want a Palestinian state so they can have a safe place to launch attacks from. Remember, the Arabs struck first!
