Government, Private Groups Line Up, But Court Likely Destination For Broadwater

The Broadwater Energy project may have key federal regulators on its side, but whether the huge liquefied natural gas plant ultimately will be moored in the middle of Long Island Sound is far from certain.

More than a dozen federal and New York state agencies will have some say on the project, too. It's too early to determine who will get the last word, but either way, the matter is likely to wind up in federal appeals court. Full Story »

This rather dry article is a gem of perplexity: we all need (want) more energy, but like Cape Wind, no one wants its supply to be local. The author successfully presents the multitude of combatants and procedures that will engage.
