While the subject of this piece is important, it was not reported responsibly. I realize that getting hard numbers for many of the stats required for this article would be difficult considering the unofficial nature of the work. However, The reporter doesn't really show that she put any effort into finding out information that would help the reader understand the scale, and depth of this issue.

This piece is quite superficial, but is valuable for raising awareness of a troubling situation. Casimir uses personal stories of individuals to convey the desperation this segment of our society is experiencing. A much more thorough discussion of the implications of this phenomenon would be welcome.

I've seen a few articles recently regarding "reverse immigration." I would like to read what a sociologist had to say about whether this painful situation might be a good thing for our country as a whole, or whether it only creates more problems for our country by further stressing (as in "stressing out") our lowest socioeconomic groups.

I think that to begin with this is a very interesting story to cover. Most recently the news has been mainly focused on the recession and people losing their jobs at large. However, thi story delves deeper to analyze a profession that most would not consider but more importantly calls attention to injustice that is occurring as a result. I find it very much so newsworthy in that it is not the typical case of news you hear everyday. Instead it connects emotionally with readers and forces them to empathize with people in this situation. As well, its surprising in that so many are getting away with underpaying their housekeepers because the economy is so bad. This in itself presents a conflict that needs to be addressed immediately.
