I am biased. I don't know how much of this is rabel rousing populist speech by one of the media insiders and how much is straight from the heart. i don't care. Listen like it's real ... it could be ... and maybe should be.

At its most fundamental, this issue is about Democracy - who rules, and how we can take our country back.

This is a "must read" for anyone who appreciates outstanding craftsmanship in delivery and a hard-knock awakening to a likely truth. As a Moyers fan, I must admit that I am biased, having heard the speech this morning. One of his best.

Bill Moyer's keynote speech at the Media Reform Conference makes a strong call for an independent media and in the process finds most other US institutions wanting. Some of his condemnation of the mainstream press doesn't jibe with my experience, but it is an earnest call from one side of the US political spectrum.
