Would a payroll tax holiday boost economy?

As the April 15 tax deadline approaches, two freshmen House members are offering a new version of a hardy tax code perennial: a six-month “holiday” from payroll taxes that they say would benefit both small businesses and the working poor.

He does manage to drag in some arguments against the tax holiday, after leading with the proponents.

The article seems an attempt to resurrect this covert attack upon social security and medicare as part of an anti-tax BS campaign.
