Obama's tough new rules apply only to the executive branch and hold no power over Congress. This week, the Sunlight Foundation proposed an online lobbying disclosure system that would require congressional lobbyists to divulge far more detailed information about their contacts on Capitol Hill; they would have to reveal whom they met and what they discussed. The MoJo presents a compelling amount of detail on the big money being spent by corporations on lobbyists that are attempting to get tax funds for their financially and morally bankrupt firms.

There seems to be a party on K street as the big money tries to make the Democratic Party also the party of Wall Street. We need voter owned publicly financed elections.
