I believe the youth of Iran will have a big impact on the next election. But will it be real, or a sham?
A lot of meat here. G W Bush clearly botched the opening Iran presented in 2002-03. Ahmadinejad in fact acknowledges the Holocaust, though this does not come through in this article. Khatami is an important source.
Obama should move toward reopening the US embassy in Tehran in the near term. Iran should be a source of support for stability in the Middle East. In my view, Iran has done more to help bring stabilty to Afghanistan, than the US, and this country has spent scores of billions of dollars.
