The writers failed to mention why there are no charges for those injured. Further they failed to address the charge that he might not receive a fair trial at Ft. Hood. They failed to mention how a jury is chosen in a military trial - since this is wholly different then a normal civilian trial; they failed to answer their own questions.

I am thrilled that the DOD is going for premeditated and when convicted I hope he gets a death verdict; for when they add all the other charges that are yet to be filed It's a shame that this article was so poorly written with so many unanswered questions.

Galligan, who was hired by Hasan’s family, and Maj. Christopher E. Martin, Fort Hood’s senior defense attorney, met with Hasan for about half an hour Monday night at Brooke. Galligan later questioned whether Hasan could get a fair trial at Fort Hood.

I am stunned that a retired colonel would say he does not know if he can get a fair trial from the military when in the military the jury is a group of his peers and they do not all come from the base. (Or that used to be the case)

Residents of the complex said Hasan gave away furniture, food, clothes and other belongings on Wednesday and Thursday before the shootings, telling neighbors he was going to be deployed to Afghanistan on Friday. Hours after Hasan gave an air mattress and other items to his next-door neighbor, Patricia Villa, and offered her money to clean his apartment after he left, he allegedly opened fire at the Fort Hood processing center.

If he was fighting deployment then why would he give away his personal items unless he was in fact on his way to comet the murders and knew he would not return as he’s either be dead or in jail.
