Insightful column about asexuals - people with no desire in either males or females. The author offers a great round-up of current research on this under-reported fourth sexual orientation group, citing the work of a variety of scientists, with links to related articles. It is worth noting that there is little scientific evidence on this topic at this point in time.
I'm not sure the first two paragraphs of disgression on on the author add a lot, but the rest of the piece is an interesting read and offers further discussion points for the view that sexuality/gender is a spectrum and not a binary.
