The speech is important and marks a major departure from the recent administrations. A bit more on background and reactions would fill out the story better.

This is the most important and ignored topic on the planet. The words are promising. The energy and tenacity in pursuing the policy will tell the story.

As long as the threat from Iran persists, we intend to go forward with a missile defense system that is cost-effective and proven.

The inclusion of propaganda about Iran, and the false claims about the missile defense system are a very sour disappointment in the middle of this speech.
