This article is what we used to call Q&D (Quick & Dirty) coverage. It takes the easy way out by copiously quoting Obama, thus reducing the number of original words needed to fill out an article. I would have liked to have seen much more of the journalist in this.

That's why God invented video cameras and microphones. To record what people say for immortality.

The speech is important and marks a major departure from the recent administrations. A bit more on background and reactions would fill out the story better.

This is the most important and ignored topic on the planet. The words are promising. The energy and tenacity in pursuing the policy will tell the story.

As long as the threat from Iran persists, we intend to go forward with a missile defense system that is cost-effective and proven. More »
