The so-called grandparents laws were put into effect for a good reason. If A husband's or wife's parents had plenty of money, the mother or father could gain control by showing the judge that the child could live with the grandparents, and the Judge most times went along, leaving the poor parent in the cold, especially if the other grandparents had a great lawyer. The problem most times is spite, and the kids are an after thought.
