Gordon Brown can be blamed for many things about the way he has run the war in Afghanistan: not having a proper strategy, failing to communicate, failing to earn the respect of his senior generals or to anticipate a critical demand for helicopters or vehicles. An interesting note to this Editorial from the London Guardian regarding an article in the London Sun is the way it "mirrors" the same type of banter that goes on in the US between Rupert Murdoch's newsmedia holdings and the more progressive press. Old dog, no new tricks, apparently. Worth noting that the same exact manipulation, by the same exact root source is being fed to the consumers everywhere. Apparently good for the bottom line, but certainly unfortunate if not more effectively countered with establishing a more discerning and better educated audience.
