Roy's article is concise, and important. As the title indicates, the piece addresses not the conflict itself so much as it indicts the press for its failure to pursue the alarming nature of what is happening. It succeeds in calling attention to the crisis (Ms Roy's status as an author is also helpful) and urges readers to demand that the world press pay attention. It is a good choice for the NewsTrust forum.

Having traveled extensively in India, and having visited Sri Lanka, I find this story particularly heart-breaking. The civil war and continuing violence have gone on for so long, it seems like Western eyes don't bother to look in that direction any longer. This is a tragedy and a travesty, for them and for us.
