Engelhardt presents the developing quagmire around Obama's war in Afghanistan as a war against Pakistan and Afghanistan that will be as gigantically expensive as the AIP bailout. Both debacles are being led by administration old guard who are not facing broad realities. It is an interesting and bothersome perspective.
