Lacks evidence, historical, quantative or otherwise, to back up his sweeping claims.

Brooks is right that there are narratives that shrink the "circle of concern" for other human beings, and that violent Muslims, anyone who commits acts of violence for that matter, devalue the life of others. However, it's incredibly self-righteous to assume that he is some how above that.
