The author has little knowledge of the civil service statutes or choses to ignore them, and while I may disagree with those rules, every civil servant is either required to follow the rules or not and accept the consequences. If this leads to a law change, that is what civil disobeience is about.

I agree with the intent of the couple, and the changes are not material to the arguement. Had this been GWB admin, they would be down at Gitmo for extended questioning if they chose not to resign.
