Worldwide darkness planned for Earth Hour

What started in 2007 as one city's protest over inaction on climate change has ignited into a worldwide movement. On Saturday, 1,800 cities are expected to participate in this year's Earth Hour.

That evening, an anticipated one billion people will take part in a global "power down," by switching off lights and electronics from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. in their local times. Full Story »
