Tata is calling the Nano the "people's car," but I think that was long ago taken by a German outfit called Volkswagen. In fact, the Nano sounds very familiar in its presentation: 34 horsepower, engine in the rear, rear-wheel drive, non-collapsing steering wheel, no airbags, no rear seatbelts, no ABS, no traction control, no air conditioning, no power steering. I agree with the author. While this isn't up to New World standards, this car isn't headed for the New World. I imagine if Mr. Ford's first car was introduced today, they might have named it Nano.

I personally think one should be in every garage in American. If a natural or other disaster of major proportion should happen,It would be a lot easier driving wherever it's safe, if there is such a place.
