The UN says agriculture is one of the most critical sectors in reviving the economy and fighting poverty.

The UN has identified energy, transport, infrastructure and agriculture as the most critical areas in reviving the global economy and fighting poverty and the effects of climate change.

The United Nations Environmental Programme (Unep) and other UN agencies cite the multiple economic, environmental and social benefits of investing a significant amount of the $3 trillion-worth of stimulus packages in renewable energies.
