Soldier says rabbis pushed "religious war" in Gaza

Rabbis in the Israeli army told battlefield troops in January's Gaza offensive they were fighting a "religious war" against gentiles...

With an anonymous source, this story must be taken with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, its allegations support a growing consensus that religious fervor may have fueled January's Gaza offensive, which if true should lead to clear international repudiation of Israel's recent military action.
