A very well done and well sourced story about the bailout and the reactions of folks in and out of Government on the AIG bonuses.

Unless fraud can be shown, the gov can do nothing about it. Its unconstitutional to Target Taxes retroactively..and The Fed, who sits on AIG's board, signed off on the bonuses . A lot of empty pandering to the public. The hyperpole on this has reached absurdity, stuff like this is HOW they got into the mess. The Congress was in such a hurry TO BAIL them all out, this is the price of blind haste.

The investigation and commentators brought into the story provide a discussion that enriches the knowledge and insight into the AIG fiasco and lack of accountability.

If rich legislators can insist on UAW workers giving up benefits but cannot insist on AIG super rich executives giving up their bonuses, the class war is being lost.
