George Bush will address us tonight, and show us the way forward. The general outline has been floated: Up to 20,000 more troops, ready to move in by the end of the month. Hammer time for Baghdad and Anbar, already underway with 80 insurgents killed on Haifa Street since Saturday.

This blog post supports a troop surge in Iraq and suggests a possible escalation targeting Iran. There is no analysis other than equating actions by those in Congress that oppose a surge with similar Congressional actions that are claimed to have cost a victory in the Vietnam war after our troops had already won it. Opinions are fine but analysis ought to consist of something more than revisionist history.
