Ms. Story’s article is written in an open pyramid style. She gives the - who, what, where, when etc… scenario and then goes on to give the context, significance, and documentation. Ms. Story sets up the next context, significance, and documentation. She ends with a conclusion tying all her information together. Ms. Story has several links throughout her article and most give accurate and informative information. There are a few sites that are not easy to use, because they link you to general area and the reader has to navigate through the site to find the article that ties back to the original piece. This is a good piece of journalism and here are the questions that became apparent from reading the article. Why do these bank executives still get millions in bonuses? What happens to the smaller banks that played by the rules and are now struggling because of the larger banks outrageous manipulations? What about the taxpayers who will be paying for the bailout for years to come, where are their bonuses? The fallout from the banking industries behavior is still being felt, maybe their bonuses should be put to work helping others find jobs!
