An American activist from Oakland, California was critically injured Friday when Israeli soldiers fired a tear gas canister directly at his head at the close of a weekly nonviolent protest against the wall in the West Bank village of N’alin. Thirty-seven-year-old Tristan Anderson underwent brain surgery on Saturday, and parts of his right frontal lobe and shattered bone fragments were removed. He remains in critical condition. Israeli aggressive military tactics in the West Bank are very lightly reported in the right rich corporate US media. This graphic story opens the window to the viciousness of the Israeli actions.

The genocidal imprisonment of Palestinians within their own territories is a serious human rights crisis.
