Repeat a big lie often enough and idiots will believe it. This is the new religion - ecofundamentalism. The premises are scientifically incorrect. The world is cooling unexpectedly. The ice caps are not melting and the seas will not flood anything in the next few hundred years, if ever. Kyoto is mainly ignored and CO2 control in Europe is collapsing politically. The entire CO2 control effort is absolutely meaningless unless China and India do it and they will never do so because it would ruin the hope of a better life for their people.
