The Israeli lobby and Lieberman seem to have driven out an Obama appointment. The story and Freeman's statement sound a warning about the lack of independence of our government to look after our own interests.

Schumer has been a disaster on many issues. If his claim of credit for dumping Freeman is believed, this is another disaster. The link here is to intelligence experts who supported Freeman; they are notable.
