What's the president's rationale for keeping so many legal skeletons in the closet?

Lithwick examines and dismisses all the current Obama excuses for not prosecuting the crimes against humanity performed by the Bush administration. Well stated.

Morality and the law require the torturers and the conspirators to be criminally prosecuted.

I agree with the author, somethings out of whack. If Obama would turn the Justice Dept. against Bush and his cronies, something(s) would come up. These people were just to slimey to have not done something.

With Rove, Myers and co. taking the stand without immunity, theres got to be a deal in place.
