Is this quality journalism? No sh**! Talk about a reporter getting a crappy assignment. Hay, It probably put herbicide herself. But she seems to have gotten a scoop.

The story instigates thinking about where else such herbicide residues might be hiding. Did the natural fertilizer I put on the garden cause my tomatoes and peas not to grow? How was it verified that the herbicide does not harm the animals, or the animal in me? These are not questions to poop-poop.

Clopyralid is commonly used on hay and wheat fields for the control of broadleaf weeds. Unlike most other herbicides, it does not break down in the heat of the composting process, but remains active to the detriment of susceptible plants, primarily members of the pea, sunflower and tomato families.
