I'm not sure this actually falls under the category of a news report as there is very limited context provided, and there are no experts cited. It video seems to be good documentation of what appears to be intentional civil disobedience, but the title makes it clear that this story is intended to be biased. I would like to know more about this, why the road was closed, if the officer was operating within his jurisdiction and why the subject had a video camera running and his attorney on the line.
This is raw documentation, and therefore is very original and enterprising. There is no way for the average viewer to evaluate the relevance, accuracy or newsworthiness of this story. Perhaps a blog or local news report will fill in the blanks.
Citizen environmental activists seem to have adapted the tactic of filming police activities. This video is at the point of arrest of one of the activist by TVA police. The story would benefit from more background information. Are police enforcing a coverup of the toxic fly ash spill?
