This is a good, first-hand account of what recently transpired at a Congressional Committee meeting, the results of which affect all of us. It shows some context, but as usual this issue is emotional and "special interests" are involved.

Uranium mining is also not a long-term solution. So not only the end-process of nuclear storage is a problem, but the "cradle" phase as well, requiring uranium extraction, which is a toxic process.
