altho the story does not include enough info to know how trustworthy the statistics /surveys are in being an accurate representation of jewish israeli citizenry, i recommend it as pointing out an apparent shift right in the perspectives of many jewish israelis, along with a disturbing implication that the government is not countering this.

when i was there some years ago, what i loved about israel then was its richness-- of history, heritage, and a vibrant, diverse population, which will be lost if its arab population leaves

Hallinan reports deeply racist sentiments and actions expanding in Israel. The ignorance of their own history on the part of the Israeli youth shows the effect of right wing control of history taught in the schools.

U.S. history books have a similar purging of our history, and glorification of militarism and nationalism.

It presents evidence not normally seen in the mainstream media outlets, mainly because of media censorship and limitations on any information critical of Israel, even though the information is readily available in Israel itself.

This is a valuable part of the information that the American public should be aware of, particularly in light of the new administration's less than critical support for Israel.
