This is good analytic journalism about the denouement of journalism in America. News reporting requires investigating and reporting in spite of power interests who support corruption. When those power interests own the newspaper, there news ends.

A spot-on analysis of why the MSM has really lost their audience over the years.

In addition to agreeing with Robert Parry, I think much of the problem has been the failure of the print media to blend the best of print and the Internet. There is no technical reason why print and web content cannot compliment one another. Also, the ad revenue models could enhance one another if done properly. Imagine being able to see an ad in the print edition that refers the reader to an on-line coupon for an additional discount (or the converse situation).
