Mitchell and Netanyahu seem at odds on key underlying issues.

The story shows diplomatic efforts under way, and shows a key difference in the goals of Mitchell and Netanyahu. Nuances and doubts about stated positions are largely absent.

Netanyahu seems to want all of the West Bank for Israeli Jews to settle, with no desire for a Palestinian state.
