In my opinion this article fails to clarify what the "real crisis" is. Some claims are unsubstantiated (and false): "Electronic machines are certainly easy to use, and they eliminate questions of voter intent". Mild political bias. Facts concerning the FL 13th election are correct. One anonymous quote, mostly unsourced. Misses known expert viewpoints.

This would be a good story if it were not filled with snide attacks on Democrats. The facts are interesting and the thesis of the story is highly plausible, but in true National Review style, the author simply cannot help making nasty remarks about those whose politics he obviously detests.

A reasonable opinion piece with good explanation of the various considerations and a couple of real issues. The significant bias shown was about the lack of complaints of irregularity by the winners ... hardly news. The point made and opinion shared is quite well explained as far as it was taken and seems quite fair. On a pure journalistic basis, it could have used more testimony from people and particularly from the technologists and some of the activists who were so quiet.
