comedy typically goes after the low hanging fruit, however, politicians are not paid to be funny, they are paid to look after the common good. No matter how funny, there are certain jokes you don't tell in certain groups , you don't go blue at the church social, you don't tell Polish jokes in South Milwalkee, and as a politician you never tell a joke that will require some "explaination. Having said all that quite a few people need to grow another layer of skin and ralize how funny we all are. After all we haven't had a decent Thanksgiving in Dallas for the last 8 years since our biggest turkey was in DC.
