comedy typically goes after the low hanging fruit, however, politicians are not paid to be funny, they are paid to look after the common good. No matter how funny, there are certain jokes you don't tell in certain groups , you don't go blue at the church social, you don't tell Polish jokes in South Milwalkee, and as a politician you never tell a joke that will require some "explaination. A lot of people actually don't know about the watermelon stereotype. It is after all totally politically incorrect so it gets very little play. Perhaps someone should publish a compendium of all the things you can't say. Perhaps Obama could start a government bureau for this. What I would like to know is are Blacks actually partial to watermelon? Is watermelon soul food? Or is this just racist myth.
