Of more concern to Israel, perhaps, is the fact that Kerry's visit highlighted the crumbling of the U.S. and Israeli effort to isolate Hamas inside its Gaza ghetto. The elephant in the room is Hamas, they connot be trusted in a deal and still have as their mission the eradication of Israel. Until Hamas disavows this mission or the Palestinians develop the courage to vote them out, Palestinians will simply keep dying. The Israelis have shown remarkable restraint, if Hamas possessed Israel's weapons, every Jew in the country would be dead, in prison or gone.
