The story is a culture piece, showing that making advances in a materialistic society is being celebrated with material things.

I don't get it. Is the author trying to say that the rich Black athletes are being opulent and should live a different lifestyle? Are the intellectual in a different world and try to bring the lower class up? Whats the point?

Maybe I should have watched Vol 1.
